Our core functions exist to safeguard transparency, accountability, competency and ethical conduct across the state’s property sector:

• Licensing: We assess and grant applications, maintain the official Register of Property Agents, and ensure agents, property managers, and auctioneers hold proper qualifications.
• Complaints and Investigations: We handle public enquiries and investigate complaints regarding agent conduct or potential breaches of the law.
• Trust Account Regulation: We monitor and regulate real estate statutory trust accounts to safeguard consumer and client funds.
• Education and CPD: We establish the real estate industry education framework and oversee Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
• Governance and Compliance: We oversight industry standards, ethical behaviour, and legal obligations across all Tasmanian real estate operations.
